Criss Cross

This Newbery Award winner by Lynne Rae Perkins, is a character study involving 14-year olds, coming to terms with life as they enter adulthood. Cleverly written in various styles, including haiku, question and answer and poetry, this book also includes many illustrations.-Xochiquetzal

Do you feel that this book is more of a teen book? I have trouble figuring out its' audience.

I think middle school to early high school kids would be the target audience. I've noticed that many books seem to span several age ranges. I could have put it in tweens, instead of fiction (9-12), I suppose.
